Trunk or Treat - Our 1st Year

We gathered together as a group on the Sunday before Halloween. Families were invited to participate in a trunk or treat event. Most of these events are held at a church but we were lucky enough to host our own for our "group kids". The idea of Trunk or Treat was decorate your trunk or hatch as well as passing out candy from your car. We had people host activities at their car as well. We gave out prizes to adults with the best decorated trunk and a prize for best costume. Some of our members made items to go into each prize.  We had about 50 people show up and participate in some way or another. It was quite a success for our first year! I know next year will be even better!

Consuming Cannabis for ADD/ADHD

Here is my story about consuming cannabis for ADD/ADHD It was suggested I had ADD in elementary school. I remember going to the administration building at school and sitting down with a specialist. After the lady tested me, she told my mom I had ADD and she could take me to a doctor to get medicine that would help. My mom didn't like the idea of pills as a daily crutch so she sought therapy for me. I was also dealing with an alcoholic father so the therapy was much more than an aid for ADD. On some subjects I would test high and others the test showed I was not paying attention. All of the subjects were interesting to me, I just couldn't focus. This was the beginning of my depression phases. I was depressed because I knew the subjects very well, I just couldn't prove it the way they had instructed. I asked to see a

Moving to Colorado Springs

I am going to tell you how we ended up in Colorado Springs. It started back when I met my husband. He came from a long line of cannabis cultivators from the Oregon area. We met and fell in love when he moved to Texas in 2008. Over the several years we lived there, I was very curious about the plant and spent many hours learning about the positive effects cannabis has on your body and mind. What I was finding was nothing like I had learned in school, in fact, it was a big lie. Around the time of me learning about cannabis and the healing properties, we learn that Colorado was going to be the first state to allow recreational cannabis sales. My husband and I said we'd like to move here one day and reap the benefits of this amazing plant. Our plan didn't take off because my father's health took a turn for the worst. He had limited scleroderma, heart disease, neurological headaches and COPD among other things. I began taking my father to all his doctor appointments; I wa
